In my last post I mentioned I was ready for spring as I saw my little family jumping in rain puddles. That very night it started to snow for two days straight. I have to eat my words because I found that I wasn't quite ready for spring. I'm still enjoying the winter. I took these snow pictures on Tuesday. I love the beauty of snow. And I love that while I was taking this picture the sun was out and these soft little flakes were falling that were only useful for watching, because they would melt when they hit the ground. I'm falling in love with Utah again. I love that winter has breaks of sun and rain around here, and that it can snow again.
Today we went to the Draper Temple Openhouse. Another great thing about Utah, is that there are temples being dedicated every couple of years and that there are close enough to go see. They are working on another temple that should be completed soon. Monkey was so excited to be able to go to the temple before she was 12 and see all the rooms inside. This is on our bus ride from the church to the Temple. This is the first time that Bug has cheesed it for the camera. She saw I was taking pictures of her did this cheesy smile and said "I wanna see"! Oh digital age. I think I would have liked pictures better as a child if I could have seen how they turned out immediately after.
Monkey is in a funny phase, where she has to be goofy for all pictures. It drives her mother crazy. I love those blue eyes though.
Monkey's favorite room in the temple was the sealing room. When we came to it, she just stopped and stared. When asked why that was her favorite, she said because it was so pretty. On the way home she asked her Daddy if he would come to her wedding at the Draper Temple. I thought it was so cute. I just hope a temple wedding remains a goal until that day. The tour ended in a nearby church. They had a beautiful display set up and one of the volunteers offered to take our picture. It was very sweet, but he was kinda in a rush. I love my little family so much.

What a neat experience! And I LOVE those pictures of the girls. Especially Bugs! Too cute!
I MISS THE SNOW! Those are some beautiful shots of the trees and the street.
Love those 'cheeses!' ;) I bet the girls will always remember going to the open house. Ellie keeps saying she wants to go in the temple. Maybe we should drive out there for the next one.
I went last weekend. It was lovely. Your snow photos are beautiful!
Welcome to the MMB.

Gorgeous snow shots. I love the pictures from the open house. I think Lydia would be THRILLED to go in a temple. Maybe someday. By the way, I think the way M hams it up for the pictures is actually pretty cute, she's really just posing, what a smart gal!
Wow those pictures are soo pretty! I'm excited to go to the open house in a couple of weeks. I've only been to one and that was the St. Louis temple. Anyway, you're girls are cute!
Beautiful! We had a snow day last week but it was just ice (Texas snow) ;) Your girls are darling! I have 3 boys.
The pictures are beautiful. But I can tell you that I AM ready for spring. I am done with winter.
We were able to go to the Nauvoo open house with our kids. Elise would have been about Monkey's age. It was pretty cool.
First off as pretty as the snow is...thank heavens I dont live where it snow, I just cant take the cold! Second, I love, love the cheesy smiles on the faces of your girls especailly that bug is following the footsteps of her older sister (by the way I think I have a few pics of a 19-year-old you with these same cheesy smiles :)) Love it!
Wow. Gorgeous snow pictures. Utah winter must be more pleasant than CT because I'm with Charlotte. And I thought the Nauvoo Temple was just barely dedicated. I'd been adult for a long time when that happened so Elise must be only 5 or 6.
Sorry I haven't been checking your blog. I realized your new one wasn't on my bookmarks. Just your old one and you never update that one. Duh. Trying to catch up!
