Valentines Weekend

Happy Valentines Day!
(a little late)

Valentine's weekend started off with Kurlz going on a Scout camp-out. Leaving us to have a girls night out. My favorite parts of the night were...
Blowing Bubbles
Getting a picture with both girls in the shot.
It doesn't happen very often.
Making Valentines for their Daddy and my Valentine

(thanks mom for saving me!)

Saturday night me and my Valentine were able to do some cleaning together sans children. Have I mentioned enough how much I love him? I do. I think he is amazing.
I have discovered a classic song by Frank Sinatra or Michael Buble, (depending on what generation you are from), called "That's All". It is so sweet and fits us perfectly right now. I'm making it our theme song this year. It's on my play list on the side bar if you want to check it out or if you just want the words go here.

Sunday we were invited to my Mom's red dinner.

I made homemade Red Velvet Cake. Many of my siblings didn't believe the topping was actual cake.

Since the next day was a holiday my sisters and I decided to have a sleepover. Because of our age differences this was a first. And definitely a bonding moment for me.
Thanks Girls!
Feeling the love this weekend. I hope you were able to as well.

Hey,
Just wanted to let you know we had red velvet cake at work for a birthday party. Apparently there's like 5 variations/flavors to it! My little partner in crime at work found red velvet cake at Smith's Grocery store. You can buy it in like a little block thing and it's very cheap. It's like a 8 inch by 8 inch piece...just for future knowledgeness!

A red dinner? That is such a great idea! And good job on the cake. I don't think I have ever had red velvet cake. Maybe I will have to make me one sometime...
