Blessings

I have been so lucky to have had so many wonderful people in my life. Friends truly bring joy into our lives.
I was able to get together for with these beautiful women for a baby blessing. The baby was beautiful! The blessing was so sweet. It filled my heart with joy to be with these girls.

We never seem to grow up when we are together. Thanks for blessing my life these past 16 to 21 years! I'm so glad we are friends.

Lala update

Sorry it's taken me so long to write this update. At first I wanted to wait until I could put up video of the cute things Lala has been up to. But I am not very good when it comes to trying to splice video. Then I started to get intimidated about writing this post. You see, I adore this little one. There are so many things I want to express about her, and I can't seem to find words that fit.
The one thing I can come up with is light. When I think of light I think of Lala. She makes my day better. My cup runneth over, when it comes to her. She has been a complete blessing in our lives. She is exactly the kind of baby I needed right now and still be able to handle school.
She is so easy going, and happy. She is a content baby and I finally got a mama's girl! She misses me when I'm gone and lights up whenever she sees my face.
Here she is at 5 months.
She learned how to reach and eat her toes. She is so flexible. She absolutely loves her feet at this stage. She's really good at smiling but doesn't laugh much at this point.
This is Lala at 6 months.
Weight: 15 lbs 10 oz. 42%
Height: 26 in. 59%
Head circ: 45.1 cm 97%
Lala will laugh at Momma but rarely anyone else.
Lala at 7 months swinging
Lala at 8 months swinging.
I love the difference you can see in the two swing pictures. I also love this picture of Michelangelo holding Lala. He thinks the world of her as well.  Lala laughs at Daddy now as well as Mommy.
Here she is in the tub at 8 months. She loves to steal the washcloth from me. She also learned how to sit up shortly after this picture. She loves to grab hair and put her fingers in my mouth or whoever is holding her.
Lala at 9 months.
Weight: 17 lbs. 10 oz. 29%
Height: 27 in. 32%
Head Circ: 47 cm 99% (all my girls have really big heads!)
Proof that she can sit up.

Here is a picture of her crawling.
She always has to have a leg up in the air. She is constantly kicking the shade on her car-seat and kicking my desk when I hold her. I get comments all the time about how relaxed she looks. I hear her cousin does this too. It must be the genes! Look at that thigh! I love to nibble on that thigh.

This is how she looks now when she's in the high chair. She loves finger food, but her favorite is ice cream. If anybody has some, she will screech an awful sound until she gets some.

She bounces up and down when she gets excited. She's started to really babble. The neighbor kids are convinced she can say their names. She loves to make up songs. She loves the mirror and looking at her self. She'll give me kisses with her tongue hanging out. She's started to stand up on her own for a few seconds. She laughs all the time now and everything is a game to her. Even when I say no, she thinks I'm playing. Whenever Momma makes a big grin Lala will start to laugh. She loves to be nibbled on, which is good because she is my favorite treat!
Lala at 10 months and 3 days walking with Monkey to her first day of 1st grade.
10 month stats:
Weight: coming soon
Height: about 30 inches

She's HERE!

She Came!
We had our baby girl on Tuesday morning! I think she is so beautiful.
She was 7# 6oz and 19 inches long. We didn't bring a camera the first day so here she is at two days old.
She's doing great beside some jaundice. I'll post more details later. I still need to get a family snapshot to post.

Baby on the brain

Lately all I can think about is babies, babies, babies. Hmmm wonder why?

This past weekend my cousin's baby was blessed. I was lucky enough to be there for it. He is such a good baby, happy and content even with everyone wanting to hold him.
I got my chance to hold him, and it had a calming effect on me. I loved it.
Just think, a couple of months and I'll get to be doing this as well!
(the happy family)
Like Mom's gorgeous headband? My other cousin makes them, they are at a great price too. Check it out here.

Bug was sick and stayed home with Daddy. I missed them, but it also meant I got to chat with cousins I don't usually get to chat with, because I wasn't chasing my toddler. That was nice.

Monkey got to go with my Dad the day before to help my aunt and uncle move. I was told she was a good helper. They were getting rid of a desk and we took them up on it. Monkey was so excited to get it, she talked about it all day.
Funny story: Monkey told me that when my Uncle told her it was a white desk with pink handles she thought there were bicycle handles coming out of it. I think she was relieved to find that it didn't have bicycle handles, but instead pink knobs on the drawers. Of course I could be wrong, maybe she was hoping for it.

Bug cut her bangs again. I don't know what to do with this girl!
We are all getting impatient for this baby to come at my house. Lately Bug likes to come up to my tummy and say "Wywa, come out!"
We will see if this next week brings anything new. I'm disappointed my girls won't be able to come visit me when the baby is born. All the hospitals in our area have limited visitors to 14 and older. Siblings aren't even allowed in. I know it's for everyone's safety, but it just won't be the same. I wonder if Bug would be able to better adjust understanding where Mommy went and were this baby came from if she came to the hospital. I worry about this one adjusting to her new role as big sister. Fingers crossed!

2 1/2 weeks!

I can't believe I only have 2 and a half weeks left. I'm having so many mixed emotions as the due date looms closer. Excited? Yes. I can't wait to hold this baby in my arms. Nervous? Oh yeah.
"What?" you say.
With my first baby I was nervous. I was nervous about labor, and being a mom. Now with my third I'm even less ready for this baby to come then I was when Monkey surprised me by coming three weeks early. I can't seem to handle two kids at the moment. How in the world am I going to handle three? What was I thinking? With Mr. Call going to school in Ogden and our only car is here, will I have to go through with this without him? He is my rock. When he's there, I know everything will be ok. I know millions of women have done this without their husbands there, but I don't want to....

In the meantime we had UEA weekend. It was great! Along with conference, (which was so uplifting and helpful to me), Mr. Call didn't have class or any landscaping to do so we got spend all four days with him.
We did lots of cleaning. There's still more to do but hey at least my room is ready for the baby to hang out in.
We took the girls to an awesome children's museum for their non-spooky Haunted Forest event.
I highly recommend going. The Treehouse Museum in Ogden isn't so huge you get lost, but they have used their space so creatively. Mr Call and I enjoy being there with the girls. I love this chess set!As part of the haunted forest the kids went to different stations to look for lost sheep for little Bo Peep, (can you find the sheep?). At each stop a character told their story to the kids and gave them a treat.
But usually the treats weren't sugary. Which I loved. The kids got coloring books, animal masks, maraca's, wooden flutes, etc. My girls absolutely loved it.
The last station was an interactive play which was a lot of fun. There weren't any scary parts the whole time we were there, it was perfect for my 5 and 2 year old.
So if your interested in going they have tickets online you can buy just google Treehouse Museum. Tours start every half an hour after 4 on Friday and Saturday, and it takes an hour to go through the entire thing. The groups are small so you don't have to worry about losing your kid, and it is a blast! I thought it was 4 bucks a kid well spent, (it would be 6 if your not a member.) I know it's a shameful plug, but I wanted to share.
Side note: Leave the wings at home. They made it difficult for this shy ladybug to get to the front of the group. Luckily she had a wonderful butterfly, and a Prince Charming that watched out for her.
Ohh, I love my cute girls.

Third

We are pregnant! We are expecting October 25. Which means I'm about 12 weeks along right now. I looking foward to not feeling queasy anymore. I had my first doctors apptointment on Wednesday. Everything went great. There is only one active baby and the tests came out fine. The doctor even printed out an extra picture for Monkey to keep. I thought it was very sweet.
Needless to say this changes a lot in our lives. I don't think I'll continue with school for a while after this semester. I just want to be mom for a little while. And perhaps I'll be able to update my blog more! No promises though. :)
A new adventure is around the corner. As Bug would say, "Ready, Set, Go"!
