Red Velvet

In Connecticut we had some dear friends who were from the south. Paula was the first to tell me about red velvet cake, it's deliciousness, and her frustration about trying to find it in the North East. I guess in the south they make it in the local bakeries quite often. I haven't tried to find it here, but maybe I can make it.
I found a recipe for red velvet cake here and I am so excited to try it!
I'll let you know how it goes when I'm done.
Have you ever had red velvet cake before? Where did you get it or the recipe from? Do you have a favorite recipe for valentines? Please share!

tink! I finally found you blog!! You are always so cute to comment on my blog!! Where did you get the name vee from?!? Anyway...I love red velvet cake too! When I catered in college we had it all the time. A fun game you could play with your girls and some friends for valentines day is just get some cute valentine paper and put it on a cardboard and shape it into heart and play musical heart (like musical chairs). pass the heart around and whoever lands with the heart when the music stops gets a treat! Its fun!!
