We are saying goodbye to our internet. It's become too much of a distraction at our house. Plus it's one less bill to pay. Everyone's cutting back and Mr. Call and I decided part of our cutting back would be to get rid of the internet. The worst part about it, is that it will make it really hard for me to update my blog. I will do my best though. I will still be able to check my email at the library, so feel free to write! Wish me good luck as I try to survive with out this amazing invention. I'm kinda addicted. This is not permanent just temporary, but I'm not sure when it will end. This is where I can post snippets of our life. We love to read, play together, take pictures, and I love to teach.

No more internet

A gathering of Princesses
We finally had Monkey's birthday party last Saturday. For the short notice we had a really good turnout. We had five show up and two more that came at the end. We had fun coloring, dancing, creating magic wands, decorating cupcakes and playing on our swing outside.
Easter
Easter was a little different this year. We were supposed to have Monkey's friend Party that Saturday, but early Saturday morning she came down with the stomach flue. Bug had a bad cold as well. So our weekend was really low key. We did color eggs but mean mommy wrote a note to the Easter Bunny asking him not to hide any treats this year.
The girls had fun coloring the eggs. Bug was fascinated with the color changing eggs. I love two year olds!

We had done Monkey's hair in curlers for her party. The curls stayed for almost a week. I love her curls.

Sunday morning the girls weren't allowed to go to church, but I still wanted them to feel like it was Sunday so we dressed up and found eggs.

Monkey insisted again and again that she wasn't sick anymore, and my siblings wanted some helpers with their egg hunt so we went to visit grandparents. Perhaps not the brightest idea, but it was a much needed break to our boring weekend.

Promised pictures of the big week.
Here are the pictures that I promised. The stomach flu has been taking over our house for a while now. Bug was sick for a week. During that week included her birthday. Instead of cake we made jigglers. I thought it turned out pretty cute. Too bad I gave her raviolli for dinner. I didn't know you're not supposed to give a kid tomato sauce when their stomach is upset. Lesson learned!

Sister gave Bug dress up accessories. Monkey is always calling herself a princess. So when Bug put these on she told me over and over that she was the "dween" (queen). She's got this rank thing figured out. She's a smart cookie I tell you.

For Monkey's birthday the next day I tried to make a Cinderella cake. I learned some things, for example the frosting in a can does not work so well. It doesn't stay put.

That sunday was Conference. It was the first day that we were all feeling better. Which is a good thing, because it was a busy day. Julie and Erik were in town from NY so we got pictures taken with the Calls,
swung on swings,

and had a big birthday party that night with both sides of the family!

During that week we had some friends the Roemmele's move to Utah and our good friend Tina came out to help them. We had a great time and stayed up way too late, but it was so nice to catch up and see how everyone was doing. I can't wait to have some more fun with the Roemmele's in the near future!

The rest of the week was spring break for Maggie and for a couple of days everyone was doing good. I had my first doctor's appointment and the girls got to go hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Thacker and go with Opa to buy seeds for the garden. They loved it. I'll tell you about last weekend in another post.

Third
We are pregnant! We are expecting October 25. Which means I'm about 12 weeks along right now. I looking foward to not feeling queasy anymore. I had my first doctors apptointment on Wednesday. Everything went great. There is only one active baby and the tests came out fine. The doctor even printed out an extra picture for Monkey to keep. I thought it was very sweet.Needless to say this changes a lot in our lives. I don't think I'll continue with school for a while after this semester. I just want to be mom for a little while. And perhaps I'll be able to update my blog more! No promises though. :)
A new adventure is around the corner. As Bug would say, "Ready, Set, Go"!
