The Pumpkins are carved
This is where I can post snippets of our life. We love to read, play together, take pictures, and I love to teach.

Welcome back to babyhood

So the night after we took baby girl off the billi lights was a whole different experience from the previous three. I had to wake her up to feed her, finally four hours of sleep. YEAH!
Immediately afterwards I was spit up on and had to change her diaper again. And my second thought after "Oh, man", was "welcome back to babyhood." And I was so grateful to be here again.

It's autumn time!
I love fall! I especially love October in Utah.
Yesterday was such a nice day Mr. Call and I decided we would go to our favorite place growing up. We spent a lot of time here during our teenage years. Too bad they charge money now to get in. But hey at least the bathrooms are kinda decent during the summer.
We went for a picnic and a hike. And it was beautiful!
When I would get homesick in Connecticut I would go for a drive down route 9 and pretend I was driving in Mueller Park. It seemed to help especially if I didn't look up and expect to see mountains. :) I have missed this place. (side note for those familiar with Mueller Park; Monkey and Mr. Call went back today and hiked all the way up to Elephant Rock. I was so proud of my girl! I was also glad I wasn't there in my condition, it would have taken forever. )

I know it's not Vermont, but I will definitely take it! There would have been better pictures but it was starting to get dark. It doesn't matter though, because the leaves changing colors, makes me so happy! We took an impromptu picture of our family. This is the only one where everyone was looking at the camera.

Baby on the brain
Lately all I can think about is babies, babies, babies. Hmmm wonder why?
This past weekend my cousin's baby was blessed. I was lucky enough to be there for it. He is such a good baby, happy and content even with everyone wanting to hold him.
I got my chance to hold him, and it had a calming effect on me. I loved it.
Just think, a couple of months and I'll get to be doing this as well!

(the happy family)Like Mom's gorgeous headband? My other cousin makes them, they are at a great price too. Check it out here.
Bug was sick and stayed home with Daddy. I missed them, but it also meant I got to chat with cousins I don't usually get to chat with, because I wasn't chasing my toddler. That was nice.

Monkey got to go with my Dad the day before to help my aunt and uncle move. I was told she was a good helper. They were getting rid of a desk and we took them up on it. Monkey was so excited to get it, she talked about it all day.
Funny story: Monkey told me that when my Uncle told her it was a white desk with pink handles she thought there were bicycle handles coming out of it. I think she was relieved to find that it didn't have bicycle handles, but instead pink knobs on the drawers. Of course I could be wrong, maybe she was hoping for it.

Bug cut her bangs again. I don't know what to do with this girl!
We will see if this next week brings anything new. I'm disappointed my girls won't be able to come visit me when the baby is born. All the hospitals in our area have limited visitors to 14 and older. Siblings aren't even allowed in. I know it's for everyone's safety, but it just won't be the same. I wonder if Bug would be able to better adjust understanding where Mommy went and were this baby came from if she came to the hospital. I worry about this one adjusting to her new role as big sister. Fingers crossed!
